Swansea Christmas Market

Swansea Christmas Market will take place from 29th November to 22nd December 2025 along Oxford Street and Portland Street bringing festive cheer to the heart of the city, with wooden chalets, twinkling lights, and seasonal aromas. There will be a wide mix of stalls selling handmade crafts, winter clothing, artisan gifts and locally produced treats, making it a great place to find something unique for friends and family. The market’s warm and welcoming atmosphere is complemented by the sound of Christmas music and the bustle of shoppers enjoying the build up to the holiday season.

Food and drink are a big highlight, with vendors serving everything from traditional bratwurst and loaded hot chocolates to Welsh cakes and festive bakes. Cosy seating areas and mulled wine huts create a relaxed space to unwind and soak up the sparkle of the market.

Swansea's market will be open from 09:30 to 17:00 Monday to Saturday, and 10:30 to 16:30 on Sundays.

Cardiff Christmas Market

This year's Cardiff Christmas Market started on 13th November and runs through to 23rd December 2025 transforming the city centre into a festive hub filled with artisan stalls, colourful lights and a warm seasonal buzz. Set around the pedestrian streets near St John's Church and The Hayes in beautifully decorated wooden stalls, the market showcases a wide range of local makers and small businesses. Visitors can explore handmade crafts, unique gifts, jewellery, artwork and winter decorations, all created by skilled independent traders. It is an ideal place to find thoughtful Christmas presents while enjoying the lively atmosphere.

There is plenty of festive food and drink to enjoy too, with stalls offering hot snacks, sweet treats and winter warmers. Shoppers can indulge in everything from gourmet brownies to mulled wine and spiced cider, perfect for keeping cosy as you browse.

Cardiff's market will be open from Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 18:00, with a late night to 19:00 every Thursday in December, and from 10:00 to 17:00 on Sundays.

Newport Christmas Market

Newport Christmas Market is open from 22nd November to 23rd December 2025 on John Frost Square, bringing festive cheer to the city centre, with bright lights, seasonal music and a welcoming winter atmosphere. The market features a rotating mix of local artisans, independent traders and food producers, offering everything from handmade crafts and festive decorations to unique gifts and locally made treats. It is an ideal place to browse for presents while supporting small Welsh businesses.

Families can look forward to a friendly, relaxed setting that adds to the excitement of the Christmas season, while shoppers can easily combine a visit with Friar's Walk or the Kingsway shopping centres.

Newport's Christmas market is open daily from 10:00 to 16:00.

Chepstow Christmas Markets

To get the town into a festive spirit, Chepstow is hosting a variety of Christmas events, starting with the light switch on, street party, and artisan market on Friday 28th November. Chepstow Racecourse then holds a Christmas market over the weekend of 29th & 30th November from 10:00-16:00 on both days, featuring local traders and independent producers.  Finally, on 21st December there's a town centre Christmas market from 10:00 until 15:00.
