About South Wales Guide

Learn more about South Wales Guide, providing tourist information and a online destination guide to the region, along with social channels, showcasing the very best of what South Wales has to offer.

Showcasing the Best of South Wales

It might sound cliché, but South Wales really does have something for everyone - not only do we have cosmopolitan cities including the capital of Wales, but we have an incredible coastline, stunning mountains, and a national park - all this combined with famous Welsh hospitality, superb cuisine, and ever-improving transport links to explore the region.  So without a real regional hub for inspiring tourism in South Wales our platform was born, with the idea of showcasing the very best of South Wales for days out, nights out, and longer stays too.

Our Mission

With a long career in promoting destinations through inspiring tourist information, Steve Hull decided to focus attention on the region he is proud to call home, launching South Wales Guide in the summer of 2025.  We are an independent platform designed to promote attractions, accommodation, and other tourism & hospitality businesses throughout the region.

Our mission is to inspire visitors and locals alike to get out and about to enjoy South Wales, exploring the incredible nature as well as the fantastic attractions we have, combined with incredible food & drink too.  We want local businesses to have a place to show what they can offer, promote events, and grow their audience.

Where Do We Cover

It's a question we get asked regularly, and also a question that causes some debate, as to where "South Wales" turns into "West Wales"!  Currently we cover the region from Chepstow in the east, to Tenby in the west, and as far north as Brecon, with 20 featured locations plus the Brecon Beacons National Park.  The region receives in excess of 43 million visitors each year, with visitors looking to experience the history, nature, culture, and world class events available here.

As the platform develops we'll be adding more featured locations within the region, plus we'll eventually add places further west too, although still areas in the south of Wales.
