Tenby Harbour Beach
About
Tenby Harbour Beach is the smallest of Tenby's four beaches, a sheltered sandy cove set right beside the town’s historic harbour. Backed by colourful buildings, fishing boats and views of St Catherine’s Island, it offers a peaceful contrast to Tenby’s larger beaches. Its calm waters make it especially popular with families, paddleboarders and those looking for a relaxed seaside stop close to the town centre.
The beach is ideally located for exploring Tenby’s harbour, castle ruins and narrow streets filled with shops and cafés. It is a great place to pause during a walk around the town, watch boats come and go, or enjoy an ice cream by the water. Compact, scenic and full of character, Tenby Harbour Beach captures the charm of this historic coastal town.
Dogs are not allowed on Tenby Harbour Beach between May 1st and September 30th each year, but are welcome off-lead in the winter months (October 1st to April 30th). If you're looking for a dog-friendly beach in Tenby then head to South Beach instead.
