About

Penally Beach is a sand and shingle beach towards the end of Tenby South Beach, offering wide open views across Carmarthen Bay. Backed by dunes and open countryside, it feels quieter and more natural than some of Tenby’s central beaches, making it ideal for relaxed walks, paddling and enjoying the coastal scenery.

At low tide the beach opens up into a broad expanse of firm sand, popular with walkers and families looking for space. The gentle setting, combined with views towards Caldey Island, gives Penally Beach a calm and unspoilt feel. It is easily reached from the village of Penally or on foot from Tenby, making it a rewarding spot for those seeking a more tranquil seaside experience.

Dogs are welcome on Penally Beach all year round.
