About

St Fagans National Museum of History is one of Europe’s leading open air museums, set within beautiful parkland just outside Cardiff. The museum brings Welsh history to life through more than forty historic buildings that have been carefully dismantled and rebuilt on site, representing different periods and communities from across the country.

Visitors can step inside farmhouses, chapels, cottages and workshops, discovering how people in Wales lived, worked and celebrated through the centuries. With traditional crafts demonstrations, exhibitions, galleries and seasonal events, the museum offers an immersive and family friendly experience that connects past and present in a vivid and engaging way.
