Garwnant Visitor Centre

About

Garwnant Visitor Centre, set within the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, is a fantastic starting point for exploring the surrounding woodland and mountains. It offers a café, picnic areas, play zones for children and a range of trails suitable for all ages and abilities. The centre is also a hub for nature lovers, with opportunities to spot local wildlife and enjoy peaceful forest scenery throughout the year, and they also have a range of forest cabins where you can stay for a holiday or short break.

From Garwnant, visitors can choose from four well-marked walking routes. The Willow Walk is a short, accessible route perfect for families and wheelchair users. The Wern Walk takes you deeper into the forest, offering shaded paths and streams. Two shorter walks are ideal for younger children - the Animal Sculpture Trail and the Tree Discovery Trail.

Parking at the visitor centre is £2 for two hours, or £5 all day.  Free parking is also available nearby in laybys on the A470 next to Llwyn-on Reservoir.
