Music for Piano and Wind Instruments
Flute - Rebecca Rouch
Oboe - Polly Bartlett
Clarinet - George Blakesley
Bassoon -Paddy KearneyA
Horn - Hannah Williams
Piano -Leyla Cemiloglu
Sinfonia Cymru’s popular lunchtime concerts at Riverfront return for the Autumn season, beginning with an intimate musical conversation between piano and five wind instruments - flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn. Come September you might want to extend the summer, and we’ve got just the music for you - with Samuel Barber’s laconic and bluesy Summer Music. The ensemble also performs Malcolm Arnold’s spirited Sea Shanties as well as music by Louise Farrenc and Mel Bonis. This programme showcases the Sinfonia Cymru's ability to blend musical colours, textures, and emotions, creating a performance as dynamic as it is refined.
