The Bunkhouse Swansea

The Bunkhouse is an independent, multi-award-winning live music venue and creative hub in the heart of Swansea city centre. Established in 2017, it has become a cornerstone of the South Wales grassroots music scene, hosting more than 240 shows a year across two stages on two floors. The larger Kingsway main stage welcomes touring bands, club nights and packed local gigs, while the more intimate Park Street bar stage hosts acoustic sets, comedy, spoken word and jazz nights, as well as pre-gig drinks and afterparties.

Known for championing emerging local talent alongside big touring names, the venue has a strong DIY ethos, with full sound and lighting rigs and bars serving locally brewed draught beers, plus pizza, nachos and coffee. In 2024 it became the first venue in Wales to secure permanent protected cultural status through the Music Venue Trust's Own Our Venues initiative, a mark of its importance to the city. Available for private hire as well as its regular gig programme, The Bunkhouse is a Swansea institution for anyone who loves live music.
