St Hilary Vineyard

St Hilary Vineyard is a family-run Welsh vineyard set at Glebe Farm in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan, one mile from Cowbridge and eight miles from Cardiff. Planted in 2021 by Liz and Peter Loch and producing its first harvest in 2023, the vineyard grows Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes using regenerative viticulture, working in harmony with nature to produce natural, small-batch Welsh wines. Proudly grown and made in Wales, it welcomes visitors to tour the vines, taste the wines, shop the range and even stay overnight.

Visit

St Hilary Vineyard opens its gates for guided vineyard tours and tastings, giving visitors the chance to walk the vines, learn about regenerative viticulture and sample their wines, including their award winning Sparkling White Wine and their debut 2023 Still Rosé, which is available only to those who visit. The vineyard also hosts a programme of events through the year, from vineyard supper clubs with guest chefs to seasonal celebrations, making it a memorable day out in the Vale of Glamorgan countryside.

Shop

The vineyard's own wines can be bought on site and through its online shop, led by the St Hilary Sparkling White Wine, a natural Welsh sparkling made from their grapes. The range is complemented by non-alcoholic fruit juices pressed from the farm's own orchard, all presented in the vineyard's distinctive branding. Bottles make a genuinely local gift and a taste of Welsh winemaking to take home.

Stay

Guests can extend their visit with a stay in the vineyard's four-star self-catering barn, rated by Visit Wales and set in open countryside on the edge of St Hilary village. The rustic barn conversion sleeps up to four across two bedrooms, with a fully equipped kitchen, private wet-room, comfortable living and dining space, free Wi-Fi and on-site parking. Dogs are welcome, and the location makes an ideal base for exploring Cowbridge, the Glamorgan Heritage Coast and the wider Vale of Glamorgan.
