About Albert Hall - Swansea
Albert Hall is a beautifully restored Grade II listed landmark in the heart of Swansea city centre, originally opened in 1864 as a grand music hall. Having welcomed Victorian greats such as Charles Dickens and Oscar Wilde before spells as a cinema and bingo hall and a long closure from 2007, the building was revived by Welsh developer LoftCo and reopened in 2024 as a vibrant food, events and lifestyle destination that blends its rich heritage with a modern uplift.
Food & Drink
At the heart of the reborn Albert Hall is its food hall, home to a line-up of independent traders serving a diverse mix of freshly prepared dishes and drinks under one roof. Whether you fancy a quick bite, a relaxed meal with friends or somewhere to catch up over coffee, there is plenty to choose from in a striking historic setting. Walk-ins are welcome, and tables can also be booked in advance.
Entertainment
Albert Hall is also a lively events venue, hosting a programme of live music, entertainment and cultural happenings alongside seasonal and community events through the year. Its grand, characterful spaces make it a popular choice for celebrations, weddings and private functions, from intimate gatherings to larger occasions, carrying on the building's long tradition as a stage for memorable events in Swansea.
Accommodation
For those wanting to stay over, the upper floors of Albert Hall house stylish serviced accommodation, offering the comfort and convenience of a home away from home right in the centre of Swansea. The apartments make an ideal base for exploring the city, whether you are visiting for an event at the venue itself, enjoying a city break or travelling for business, with the food hall and city-centre attractions on the doorstep.
