An Evening with Don Letts (Screening of In Those Days followed by Q+A) - The Riverfront

Legendary filmmaker and DJ Don Letts presents a previously unreleased documentary that captures an essential moment in modern British history, as experienced by the people that were there.

‘In Those Days’ explores the experiences of the first wave of Afro-Caribbean immigrants who arrived in the UK to fill the labour shortage in Britain’s battered post-war economy. Charting their memories of home, their arrival in the UK and the lives they built here, ‘In Those Days’ is a cinematic testament to the Windrush generation - told in their own words.

Following the screening, Don Letts will take part in a live Q&A session, offering further insight into his filmmaking, followed by a book signing.

This special event forms part of ongoing Windrush celebrations, honouring the legacy and lasting impact of the Windrush generation.
